Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it easy to generate the magentic field at a recording time to reduce recording demagnetization by making the saturation magnetic flux density of a head chip in the front of the advance direction of a magnetic recording medium higher than that in this side of the magnetic gap. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic layers 61 and 62 having a saturation magnetic flux density higher than that of head chips 51 and 52 are interposed between cores in this side and the passage side to the advance direction of magnetic recording medium 41 in magnetic head chips 51 and 52 which are opposite to each other while interposing magnetic gap 53. By this structure, at a recording time, magnetic layer 61 is near to magnetic saturation, and permeability is lowered, and the leak magnetic flux from head chip 51 and magnetic layer 61 is increased to extend magnetic field distribution. On the other hand, the saturation magnetic flux density of magnetic layer 62 is high, and the leak magnetic flux head chip 52 and magnetic layer 62 is little, and magnetic field distribution is damped rapidly near magnetic gap 53.
