Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The intermediate part of the adsorption uessel 1 is provided with the adsorptive layer 4, and a gas to be treated is passed through the adsorptive layer 4 to remove odorous components present in the gas. The upper part of the vessel 1 is covered with the cover 5 consisting of the film 5A of polyvinyl chloride, etc., having air tightness and water resistance, and the cover 5 is provided with the entrance 6, the exhaust port 7 at the top, and the conduit 8A leading to the pressure regulator 8 at the upper part. A gas to be treated is introduced into the inlet 10 and then exhaust gas is discharged while supporting the cover 5 by the back pressure of the exhaust gas by regulating the pressure of the exhaust gas by the regulator 8 if necessary. Thus, the removal of the cover 5 can be performed when a great amount of soil used as adsorbent is to be exchanged.
