Abstract

PURPOSE:To smoothly rotate a two-pole rotor for a miniature motor by containing a non-energizing section and a braking current section for braking the rotor in the rear half portion of a duration while the rotor is rotating at 180 deg. after the polarity of the drive current is switched. CONSTITUTION:An electric current Ic supplied to an inductor type miniature motor for a watch alters its phase at every 180 deg.. A non-energizing section N and sections of brake currents i2, i4 are provided in the rear half portion of the respective phases. The non-energizing section N provides low consumption current, and the brake currents i2, i4 prevent the apprehension of its step-out. It is noted that the positions of the brake currents i2, i4 may be slightly displaced toward the currents i1, i3 sides.
