Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure sliding even if a rod is bent by mounting a ring-shaped bush on the entrance side of a hole bored on a housing and the like for giving a larger inside diameter to the innermost part of the hole than to the entrance side, and supporting the rod by this bush. CONSTITUTION:Forks 38 and 40 in a manual transmission gear box are mounted at their roots on a fork rod 36 supported on both ends respectively by a clutch housing 1 and a mission case 2 to be sliding, and given proper axial shifting by an unillustrated shifter for changing speed. At this stage, blind holes 49 and 50 for inserting both ends of the fork rod 36 are bored on the housing 1 and the case 2 to make their inside diameters a little larger than the outside diameter of the rod. Rim parts 49b and 50b of these holes are expanded for mounting bushes 51 and 52, and the rod 36 is supported by these bushes near its both ends to be freely slided. Each rim of the hole is provided with an air escape 63.
