Abstract

PURPOSE: An antitumorigenic agent that contains a compound of methinecyanine, thus being effective on malignant tumors as leukemia or melanoma.
CONSTITUTION: Said antitumorigenic agent contains a compound of formula I [A is formula II, III, IV (Z is halogen, alkyl, phenyl)], e.g., 3-methyl-2-[2-methyl-3-(3- methylnaphth[2, 1-d]thiazolin-2-ylidene)propenyl]naphth[2, 1-d] thiazolium p-toluenesulfonate. Generally, preferable dosage is about 0.1W2.5mg/kg. day. Said agent has tolerance, curing and life-prolonging activity against malignant tumors in blood- warm animals, e.g., leukemia or melanoma.
