Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent after-yellowing of the surface and deterioration of coating by covering an extruded strip on a base board of synthetic resin material with groove- type cross-section metal lace, heating the extruded strip into a molten deformed one and fixing the metal lace on the deformed extruded strip.
CONSTITUTION: Extruded strip 2 is formed on the surface of base board 1 of synthetic resin material. Then metal lace 5 of groove-typed cross-section having flange 6 bent inward at the opening of the groove, is placed on extruded strip 2. After this process, supersonic wave 7 is applied onto the extruded strip 2 of base board 1 intermittently, referring to the concave part 4 of base board 1 so that the tip 3 of extruded strip 2 may be softened into a molten deformed one to be opened towards the both sides. Next, metal lace 5 is depressed onto the base board 1 by means of brace 8 and as a result, extruded strip 2 is buried into the lace 5. In this way, after-yellowing on the surface of metal lace and deterioration of coating can be prevented due to the fixing of metal lace 5 on the base board 1.
