Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable complicated functions to be used with simple operation by devising the setting method of memory in an electronic watch using liquid cyrstals, etc. CONSTITUTION:Either one of display parts 19, 20 using liquid crystals is selectively displayed by a display selection circuit 13. The contents displayed in the display parts are stored in an IC memory 14 and the time display is mainly made in the display part 18 and the calendar display mainly made independently in the display part 20. Selective displaying is effected by combinations of switches by operating external operating buttons including only one select switch which assigns part of the display parts and only one set switch which performs setting of memory. Since unlock state is independently obtained by the external operations corresponding to the displays, the operation mainly of the time correction and the memory operation of the data may be independently accomplished even at the operating, thus the intricate multifunctional operations may be substituted to the simple button operations.
