Abstract

PURPOSE: To trap vapor of liquid metal by means of air holes packed with a metal filter which are cut in plates facing respective cases arranged in a screening plug provided at the opening of a reactor vessel.
CONSTITUTION: A screening plug 3 is provided at the opening of a reactor vessel 1. In the plug, arranged are a case 5 housing a heat screen body 6 in the order from the inside. Air holes are cut in a part of plates 5a and 7a respectively facing the cases 5 and 7 and each packed with metal filters 12 and 18. The complete filtration of the vapor 2a of the liquid metal 2 eliminate possibility of damaging the function of the respective screening bodies while simple construction facilitates the assembly.
