Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable drainage without affecting collection of proper temperature water and collecting position by providing a water collecting and draining mechanism capable of adjusting depth of a plant barge.
CONSTITUTION: Telescopic water collecting and draining ducts A and B are so provided vertically at a barge body 1 as to expose the upper opening over the sea surface. Thus, the dust A is extended into deep layer to collect cold deep layer water in summer to utilize it as a cold heat source of a plant. The duct B is retracted to exhaust hot water after use to the water surface. The dusts A and B are reversely extended in winter to conduct reverse operation to the above in summer so that the drained water temperature may not affect the water collecting area so as to always retain the optimum water temperature. Thus, it can stabilize the supply of cold heat source such as power generating plant or the like so as to improve the operating efficiency of the plant.
