Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the working ratio of a plant by using an instrumentation system to analyze the statistics pattern of its process signal and to compare and collate it with the reference value, then to diagnose the its working status online.
CONSTITUTION: The process signal of the nuclear power plant 1 is input to the signal input device 2 and stored in the data storage 3. The statistics calculator 4 calculates various statistics based on the frequency analysis by Fourier transformation. The comparator and collator 6 compares the above-mentioned calculation value and that of the comparison reference storage 5 and diagnoses the working status of the plant. When the diagnostic result is normal, it is displayed by the output device 7. When it is abnormal, an alarm is given from the alarm generator 8. In this case, the abnormality cause decision equipment 11 compares the calculation value mentioned above and the of the diagnostic reference storage 10 and determines the abnormality cause. This system is integrately controlled by the remote controlling handset 15 through the communication line.
