Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve miniaturization and higher speed and make operation at the cleaning and handling at the maintenance easy by the construction wherein a head block and a pressing block are made one set of block. CONSTITUTION:In the thermal printer of an automatic ticket issuing machine, etc., a thermal head 24 which performs printing is fixed together with a head mount 25 to a head bracket 26 to constitute a head block. On the other hand, a pressing frame 29 is mounted to a pressing bracket 28 and a pressing bar 31, pressing spring 30, etc. are provided within the pressing frame 29 to constitute a pressing block. The pressing force of the spring 30 presses the thermal head 24 to a pressing roller 16 by way of the pressing bar 31, head mount 25. Since the head block and pressing block are so mounted as to be able to rotate freely about a revolving shaft 27, both blocks may be rotated to open, in the case of, e.g., cleaning the thermal head 24, whereby cleaning may be readily performed.
