Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable changes of lighting direction characteristic and design by forming a bellows of a pliable sheet adhered to a spiral wire which fits in a screwed portion.
CONSTITUTION: A bottomed cylindrical main body 1 has screwed portion 2 inside the cylinder portion, and a socket 4 is fitted to the bottom 3. A shade 6 consisting of a pliable sheet 6b (e.g. vinyl chloride sheet) s adhered to a spiral wire 6a fitted in the screwed portion 2, to form a bellows. The shade 6 is fitted into the screwed portion 2 using the wire 6a as the primary element of a male screw. Contraction of the bellows increases the rigidity of the shade 6, facilitating the fitting of the shade 6. The contraction also facilitate the exchange of a lamp bulb 5, because the shade 6 contracts below the height of the bulb 5.
