Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a vinyl chloride resin composition having excellent transparency and releasability, free from whitening on bending, and without substantial lowering of the softening point, by compounding a non-toxic stabilizer selected from Ca or Zn-soap of higher fatty acid and an organo-tin compound, and a specific plasticizer to the base resin.
CONSTITUTION: A polyvinyl chloride resin composition composed of (A) 100 parts by weight of polyvinyl chloride or a copolymer composed mainly of vinyl chloride, (B) usually 1.0-4.0 parts of a non-toxic stabilizer selected from Ca- or Zn-salt of a fatty acid such as stearic acid, lauric acid, ricinoleic acid, etc., and an organo-tin compound, e.g. di-n-octyltin laurate, and (C) 0.2-3.0 parts, based on 100 parts of (A)+(B), of 2,2,4-trimethylpentane-1,3-diol diisobutylate as a plasticizer.
