Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve musical effect and prevent the production of distorted sounds at the low voltage driving by independently providing plural sets of musical tone producing systems which are respectively formed of programmable counters, waveform amplifier circuits, electro-acoustic transducers, etc.

CONSTITUTION: The contents of a memory circuit 1 which stores scales and tone lengths are subsequently read out by the address signals of an address counter 2. On the other hand, according to the tone length read out signal from the circuit 1, a programmable counter 6 determines the frequency dividing ratio of the clock of an oscillator 5, by which the address counter 2 is controlled and the read-out of the count value of the programmable counter 4 which counts the clock of the oscillator 3 is controlled by the signals controlling the scales and tone lengths of the circuit 1. The specified musical tones are then produced by way of a waveform amplifier 8 and an electro- acoustic converter 9. If plural sets of independent other musical tone generating systems by the similar circuit constitution are provided, desired acoustic effect by the independent systems free from interference despite the production of the musical tones may be obtained without mixing the musical tone signals. In addition, the occurrence of distortions of sounds is prevented by the independent waveform amplifier circuit even at the low voltage driving.
