Abstract

PURPOSE:To transmit a message without a blank part by providing two endless magnetic recording tapes and two recording and reproducing circuits and operating them alternately in an automatic answering telephone set only for answering which stores plural lines. CONSTITUTION:When a calling signal is supplied to input terminal 3, the first control circuit 9 is driven to operate the first recording and reproducing circuit 12, and the reproduced output from magnetic recording tape 11 is transmitted to telephone lines through reproduced output transmission circuit 13. Voice current detector circuit 14 detects the disapearance of the reproduced output current and drives the second control circit 17 to operate the second recording and reproducing circuit 20 and simultaneously drives reproduced output switching circuit 15 to switch the reproduced output from the first to the second. The first control circuit 9 stops motor 10 when tape 11 ends, and a message is transmitted from the first when the reproduced output is switched from the second to the first, thereby eliminating blank.
