Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable DC output to be clipped when pulse width becomes a fixed value or over and the clip value to be selected as desired by a monostable multivibrator circuit which is capable of arbitrarily adjusting the time whidth of output signal as well as AND circuit and averaging circuit.
CONSTITUTION: A monostable multivibrator 2 generates a pulse signal S2 at the same instant when it is inputted with the pulse signal S1 of a period T. Here, while the time widths T1 and T2 of level 1 of the signals S1 and S2 are holding the conditions of T1 < T2, the output S4 of an averaging circuit 4 is not clipped. Next, when these become time widths T1 > T2, the averaging output S4 is determined by the time T2 and the DC output does not increase any more and it turns out that the output S4 has been clipped. Hence, the clip value of the output S4 is also changed by changing the output time width T2 of the monostable multivibrator 2.
