Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect rotating angles with high resolution and stability by converting the detection outputs of a rotating angle output head to a constant amplitude and multiplying frequencies.
CONSTITUTION: The detection voltage of a rotating angle detecting head 2 by the tooth type magnetic material of a rotor 1 goes through the amplifier 11 of a constant output amplitude control circuit 3 and is made to a DC voltage in a smoothing circuit 12. This voltage is compared in a comparing amplifier 14 in which a reference voltage has been set. The amplification factor of the amplifier is controlled by the comparing output of this amplifier 14 via variable resistor 9 and the signal which is free from any DC noise, is constant in amplitude and whose frequency is proportional to rotating angles is applied to a pulse generator 7 without any effect on the rotating speed of the rotor 1. In this case, the input to the circuit 3 is cut off of high range above a specified range by parallel resistance 9 and capacitor 10, whereby unnecessary AC noises are removed. On the other hand, the detection outputs of the head 2 are integrated in an integrating circuit 4 provided with an amplifier 18 whose amplification factor is controlled via variable resistance 17 in the similar manner, whereby the frequencies proportional to rotating angles are electrically multiplied and are applied to the generator 7. Hence, high-resolution and stable detection may be performed.
