Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a room air conditioner, in which a hollow space is formed between a down-blow damper and casing when the damper is in its closed position, such that warm air drawn from the room to the fan is passed through the hollow space, whereby it is enabled to solve the problem of dewing to damper during cooling operation.
CONSTITUTION: Pivotal axes 15, 15 for pivotally supporting up-blow damper 13 and down-blow damper 14 are provided in air passages formed, for instance, by casing 8 of Sirocco fan 4. Therefore, these dampers 13, 14 do not come into contact with casing 8 and they do not close the air passages completely, if they are located at their closed positions.
