Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide automatic assembly and disassembly of fuel assembly by mounting separately the handle and the direction indicating rod on the top tie plate of fuel rod to facilitate and ensure the grab of the fuel assembly by the fuel grapple.
CONSTITUTION: Handle 23 is provided for the top of the top tie plate 22 of the fuel rod 1. Further, the direction indicating rod 24 is provided in inclined position for the top tie plate 22. V shape groobe 10 of the fuel grapple is guided with the direction indicating rod 24, and handle 23 being securely inserted into the bottom of V shpae groove 10, and the fuel assembly may be grasped. Additionally, since the direction indicating rod 24 may not jump out of the space directly above the nut 7 and the locking washer 8 which support the fuel assembly, the disassembly and assembly of the fuel assembly may be carried out with ease.
