Abstract

PURPOSE: to prevent the hard copy of original document of the improper position by providing a photographic device with the range of read and scanning more than the specified size of the document, and when there is an image information at the outside of the specified size, by detecting it to issue a warnig.
CONSTITUTION: Document scanning plane 1 of photographic device is provided with the scannig width wherein both main scanning direction X and auxiliary scanning direction Y are longer than the specified size 2 of the document, the document image of the whole region of the scanning width is focused on the line sensor 4 consiting of solid photographing element, etc. via lens 3. This focused image is photo-electrically converted by the sensor 4 to maintain till the tansmitted signal comes. Of all the bits issued by the sensor 4, the number of bits in the range of transmitting signal as the image information and also in the range of detecting the mutilated information is previously determined. Hence in case the counted value of signal as the mutilated information in the range of detection exceeds the set value, warning for the improper position of the document is issued. As a result, the hard copy or copied information of the document of the improper position and their transmission can be prevented.
