Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable changing over of both modes to be performed through simple operation by performing book mode and sheet mode on the same exposure face and detachably providing the sheet mode provided on a moving original base.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of book mode, a sheet conveying unit 508 is inverted about axis 500 to be detached from the exposure face 501 on the glass plate 503 provided to a moving original base 502. The book 509 to be copied is placed on the exposure face 501 and is moved in the direction of an arrow 510 by the movement of the original base 502, by which exposure of the book original is accomplished. In the case of sheet mode, the conveying unit 508 having detached from the exposure face is rturned to be contacted to the exposure face, then a sheet mode changeover SW actuates to disengage a clutch 513 for feedfng the original base and stop the movement of the original base 502 by motors 511, 518. Further a clutch 515 engages to turn gears 520, 521, by which the conveying rollers 522, 523 of the sheet conveying unit 508 are driven to send the sheet original 525 on the glass plate 503 in the direction of the arrow 506.
