Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the cost of the illumination switch by molding both the luminous element and the Hall device to give the ON/OFF control to the luminous element onto a lead frame at one time.
CONSTITUTION: An electrode of the Hall device is connected to the upper surface of one unit of lead bar 4 of the lead frame, and also an electrode of luminous element 8 is connected to the upper surface of lead bar 3 respectively. At the same time, other two electrodes of the Hall device are connected to lead bar 1 and 5, and other electrode element 8 is connected to lead bar 2 respectively with lead bar 4 used as the common earthed terminal for device 7 and element 8. Then device 7 and element 8 on frame 6 are molded into conical mold substance 9 with use of the resin. Device 7 is controlled by manget 14 attached to one end of operating material 11. As for material 11, element 8 is kept under the OFF-state by the repulsion material 15 at the non-operation time and then kept at the ON-state at the operation time respectively. Thus, element 8 and device 7 can be molded on a lead frame at one time, thus reducing the cost for the illumination switch.
