Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the ignition performance and durability by forming a partially conductive-substance immersed ceramic electrode at the relatively thin sealed bottom of a ceramic isolating ignitor which has previously been opened through the axis.
CONSTITUTION: An ignition plug glass 5' is fit with a main fittings 7. The ignition tip facing the grounding electrode 6 is a hollow case made of magnetic isolating substance and is provided with a ceramic electrode 1' at the tip end into which conductive substance is immersed. A resistance substance 3 can be connected to the terminal electrode 4, which is directly put on the back face of the ceramic electrode 1' or the internal face at a blind end of the hollow axial hole.
