Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise a braking force, by suppling a direct current to the three-phase lines of an AC motor when the motor is braked.
CONSTITUTION: A selector circuit 18 is provided to apply a gate signal to three of electric valves S1∼S6 of an inverter in accordance with a braking instruction DB. A changeover swtich 19 is so installed that a moving member is shifted from a stationary member A to another stationary member B in accordance with the braking instruction DB. In the stationary operation, the moving member of the changeover switch 19 is located on the stationary member A and the electric valves S1∼S6 of the inverter are closed by a pulse signal supplied from a distributor 12. When the braking insturction is applied, the moving member of the changeover switch 19 is shifted to the stationary member B and only the electrc valves S1, S5, S6 of the inverter are turned on by the selector circuit 18. Therefore, the direct current is supplied to the three-phase windings of the motor 10 to raise the braking force.
