Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a photopolymerization initiator having excellent solubility to resins and high rate of polymerization, and giving a polymer almost free from yellowing, comprising a specific compound and an aromatic carbonyl compound.
CONSTITUTION: A photopolymerization initiator composed of (A) 1 part by weight of a compound of formual (R1,2 are 1-4C alkyl; R3 is 1-6C alkyl, cycloalkyl; X is O,S.) obtained by hydrolyzing a condensate prepared by heating an alkoxybenzoic acid anilide, etc., with an N,N'-dialkylaminobenzene, etc., in the presence of a chlorinating agent such as phosphorus oxychloride, and (B) 0.1W10 parts by weight of a conventional aromatic carbonyl-type photopolymerization initiator.
EFFECT: Addition of 0.5W20 parts by weight of the photopolymerization initiator to 100 parts of a photopolymerizable composition accelerates the rate of photopolymerization and gives a polymer having excellent properties.
USE: Photocurably ink, photocurable paint, etc.
