Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the volume of the winding per core leg 1 within the permissible limit for transportation by constructing the transformer such that it can be divided into single phase transformer unit sections with the winding wound on the core leg and that the individual unit sections can be transported in the turned-down state to the site of installation.

CONSTITUTION: Core bases 11 and winding bases 12 are mounted between the core 2, 3 with windings 9 within a tank body 1 of the transformer and the tank body 1 in the illustrated manner. Then, the transformer 10 in a vertical state as a whole is turned down with a crane by making use of a tank beam 6 of a lower cover 5. Thereafter, the tank body 1 and core yoke 2 are divided to separate individual core legs 3 with the respective windings 9 wound thereon as single phase transformer unit sections 10a. With this transformer, which is assembled and transported in this way, and with which each single phase transformer unit section 10a, that is, each core leg 3, is turned down at the time of the transportation, its height in the installed state constitutes the length at the time of the transportation, so that it is possible to increase the height of the core leg and winding and thus increase the volume for each core leg 1.
