Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the erasing of data at the time when a power supply is cut off, by allowing the data of a single-chip microcomputer (SμC) to stand by.
CONSTITUTION: While power supply VDD is cut off, the output signal of buffer 15 allows the fixed data in the register to stand by in latch 12 and when the power suppy recovers, a clock is inputted from the circuit composed of resistance R1 and capacitor C1 and the data is fetched from latch 12, thereby restarting copying operation. On the other hand, the power-supply terminal of latch 12 is connected to backup power supply 13 and also to the main power supply via diode 14. Therefore, since the data are allowed to stand by at the time of the cutting off of the power supply, a data process can be attained without using any address and the program can be also simplified.
