Abstract

PURPOSE: To safely and rapidly brake an elevator cage of two speed by applying a brake command to an elevator controller when no current is flown by detection in any of high and low speed sides.
CONSTITUTION: When upward elevation command relay contacts F1, F2 are closed, an upward elevation relay A is energized to thereby close the contacts A1 to A3 of a main circuit. When a high speed command relay contact H1 is simultaneously closed, a high speed relay C is energized to thereby close contacts C1 and C2 to cause the cage to elevate upwardly at high speed. When the relay H1 is deenergized to deenergize the relay C at a decelration command position, a low speed relay D is energized via a circuit of P-F2-C4-D-N to the decelerate the cage. A current detection relay RyCY energized by the output of a current detector CT with the detector CT are provided in the controller thus constructed to thereby operate an electromagnetic brake MGB through the contact RyCT1.
