Abstract
PURPOSE: To contrive the improvement of producibility of extrusion work, by processing as follows; the grain type raw material like as Ca, etc., is previously formed into billet and then is formed by extrusion into the wire, on which the steel tape is overlapped for coating, and next, this compound is formed into the composite wire additive for use of steel.
CONSTITUTION: The 20 mesh or larger grain type raw additive material, for instance the grain of Ca together with Al, is compressed at 30% or larger compression ratio to form the billet 4. This billet 4 is inserted into the container 1, and the stem 2 is actuated for extrusion forming of the wire 5 through the die 3. This wire 5 is longitudinally attached with the mild steel tape 6, and then, this compound is passed through the former 7 so as to make the overlapping coat on the outer surface of the wire 5; hereby, the composite wire additive 8 for use of steel is obtained. By employing the previously formed billet, the quantity of one charge into the container 1 can be increased, so that the working rate and workability of the extruder can be improved.
