Abstract

PURPOSE: A low resilient resin having improved vibration damping properties within a wide temperature range and a specific impact resilience, obtained by reacting two or more types of different polyesters.
CONSTITUTION: A low resilient resin consisting of a block copolyester obtained by reacting two or more types of different polyesters, having an impact resilience ≤40% at such a temperature that the vibration damping properties, e.g. loss factor ≥0.1, are shown, and its composition. The blocking is carried out at 150°C or above, preferably at melting points of the polyesters or above, e.g. 230W280°C, for 5W120 min depending on the types of the polyesters to be reacted, end group concentration, temperature, moisture contents in the reaction system, etc. The atmosphere of the system is preferably inert, particularly in racuo.
