Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable visual recognition and easy viewing of the elapsed time during measurement of display means to provide digital display of measuring information of less of a second, by providing a means to successively display the measurements of less of a second every 1/n second in a display means of less of a second during the measurement of time.

CONSTITUTION: A display control circuit 12 is provided in a conventional digital display stopwatch capable of measuring up to 1/100 second. When measuring the time, a display selector switch S₃ is closed to change over a display selector circuit 6, and a clear switch S₂ is closed to render the contents in 1/100 second counter 9 for measuring time, second counter 10, and minute counter 11 to 00. When a measuring start/stop switch S₁ is closed, the output of FF 8 becomes H, so that 1/100 second pulse enters the 1/100 second counter 9. And, for instance, 4-bit code information is outputted from the display control circuit 12 and is inputted into a display circuit 15 through the display selector circuit 6. The display circuit 15 holds the display condition until the 1/100 second counter 9 counts 25 pulses of 1/100 second, and at every 25 counts, less of a second, namely 0.25 second, will be successively displayed.
