Abstract
PURPOSE: The surface of molded products of uncured silicon-grafted polyolefin is coated with a colored coating containing an organic compound bearing a specific reaction group to form colored coating films of high toughness.
CONSTITUTION: An uncured silicon-grafted polyolefin is molded into prescribed forms and the surfaces are coated with a coloring coating containing an organic compound bearing a group reactive with siliyl groups in above polyolefin such as a phenolic resin as the vehicle and azo pigments as the colorant. The organic compound reacts with OCH2 groups in silyl as shown in the formula to form strong chemical bonds and colored coating layers.
