Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the load upon a lock bar so as to effect the easy and accurate mounting and demounding operations of a recording disc by moving a disc guide up and down with the use of a lifting lever, string or the like, which is made coactive with a locking button.

CONSTITUTION: If a jacket 13 is inserted into and extracted from a hole 42, a recording disc or the like is left on a disc guide 43 in the jacket. If a locking button 49 is then depressed, a lifting lever 50 is turned so that the guide 43 jointed to the lever 50 by means of a string 52 is moved down and locked into a reproduced condition by means of a lock lever 46. After the reproduction, if the empty jacket 13 is inserted, the lever 46 is turned so that the guide 43 having been released from its locked condition is lifted by the elastic force of a spring 45 and so that the button 49 is returned to its original position. Thus, the recording disc is accommodated in the jacket 13 inserted. According to such construction, no torque required for the vertical movements of the guide 43 is imparted to the lever and becomes so low that the recording disc can be mounted and demounted easily and accurately through the jacket which is little influenced by the load of the lever 46.
