Abstract
PURPOSE:To change the operation amt. of a blast furnace in a stable and economical manner by supposing a mathematical model representing the conditions inside the furnace; forming the correlation between operation amt. variables and operation result variables; and quantitatively grasping the operational stability and cost. CONSTITUTION:A mathematical model is supposed including blast furnace operation amt. variables such as blast unit, blast temp., moisture content and top press., and operation result variables such as steel discharge amt. and temp. In accordance with the preceding operation results, the model is modified and a correlative equation is established between the modified variables. A valuation standard equation of blast furnace operation is obtd. according to the change values of operation result variables from the past operation results, and the operation amt. and result variables. In order to fix suitable operation conditions, the values of unset operation amt. variables are calculated so that the value of the valuation standard equation is minimized under the conditions limited by the above correlative equation, and the supremum and lowest values of the operation amt. variables.
