Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve the miniaturization of a reflecting mirror cooling device of high output laser light and make mounting and dismounting of the reflecting mirror to and from the device easy by providing a cooling space within the reflecting mirror and flowing cooling water therein.
CONSTITUTION: A cooling space 13 is formed within a reflecting mirror having a reflecting face 11 and cooling water is flowed into and out from the space 13 via connection ports 14, 15, whereby cooling of the cooling face 12 is effected. At the production of the reflecting mirror, a silver mirror reaction film 17 and electrodeposition layer 18 are formed on the surface of a mirror face mold 16 and a reflecting mirror face 11 is transferred at the boundary face between the film 17 and layer 18. A material 19 composed of a low melting point alloy such as braze or Wood metal or the like of the same shape as that of the space 13 is deposited on the portion which becmoes the cooling face 12 and a silver mirror reaction film 20 is formed on the surface thereof, after which an electrodeposition layer 21 is so formed as to seal the material 19. Next, holes 14, 15 for flowing out of the material 19 are opened and the electrodepositon layer 21 is heated to allow the material 19 to melt and flow out.
