Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent windings from moving within a slot interposing an elastic plate between the slot inlet with inserted members and the windings and providing a plurality of tapered liner making contact with each other at the tapered surfaces thereof between the winding side surface and the slot side wall.
CONSTITUTION: An elastic plate 5 is provided between inserted members 7 in a slot inlet and windings 2a. Tapered liners 8a, 8b making contact with each other at their tapered surfaces thereof are provided between the winding side surface and the slot side wall 11 in such a manner that the broad portion of the liner 8b makes contact with the plate 5. Thus, even if forces P1 P2 for directing the windings downwardly of the slot by electromagnetic strength are operated at the windings, the liner 8b is lowered downwardly by the action of the plate 5 so that its wedge action urges the liner 8a onto the winding. Accordingly, friction takes place between the liners to reduce the downward movement of the windings. Since thermally expended winding pushes up the plate 5, it weakens the downward force to the liner 8b so as to absorb the lateral expansion of the windings.
