Abstract

PURPOSE: To convert the high impedance signals, which are induced in a measuring electrode, into low impedance signals so that they may be extracted with the use of an FET and a diode.
CONSTITUTION: The signals 13 of a surface 1 to be measured are fed to an FET 6 and diode 3 through a space capacitance 10 between the surface 1 and a measuring electrode 2. Even if the diode 3 is under shielded condition as an initial condition, the diode side potential of the capacitance 10 approaches the bias voltage E0 which is impressed upon a terminal 4. If the output side potential of the capacitance 10 is in the vic-nity of E0 at the point A of signals 13, the output side of the capacitance from A to B approaches the lower potential. When that output side potential becomes lower than E0, however, the diode 3 becomes conductive so that the output potential at point B takes the value of E0. From point B to C, the diode 3 is inconductive so that signals having the same waveform as that of the signals 13 are generated at the output side. Thus, similar signals to those signals 13 can be generated at the gate of the FET 6 so that the output having a stable low impedance can be generated at the source or drain.
