Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus which enables effective checking of deviation of high speed material while serving for slow cooling in the case of special steel or the like with the induction path thereof closed.
CONSTITUTION: The moment a high speed material 1 rolled with a finish mill 2 is alternately fed into a forked guide pipe 4 after cut with a shear to a given length, a motor 17 starts. Consequently, a drive shaft 10 mounted to the tip of a base 13 on a foundation 12 through a bearing 14 is driven through a decelerator 16 or the like. At the same time, a guide 7 mounted to the drive shaft 10 is rotated so that the high speed material 1 is fed into a concave groove 9 formed on the periphery thereof. With the rotation of the guide, the material is fed toward a cooling bed 5 in sequence while a cap 8 serves to check the deviation thereof from the groove 9. Thereafter, the high speed material falls on a fixed rake 20 and then is fed to an outlet table 24 by a mobile rake.
