Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate unnecessary response against current inversion, by providing on-delay timer which is excited when both of reactance characteristic detecting section and mho characteristic detecting section are functioned and holding circuit which is provided with the output from said timer.
CONSTITUTION: Outputs from first and second stage reactance characteristic detecting sections 11, 12, mho characteristic detecting section 13 and offset mho characteristic detecting section 14 are combined through AND gate 15, OR gate 16 and on- delay timer 17 to function aux. relay 18, while the time limit of on-delay timer 17c is made longer than max. reset lap time of first reactance characteristic detecting section 11 and mho characteristic detecting section 13 during current inversion and shorter than memory time of mho characteristic detecting section. Consequently unnecessary response against current inversion is eliminated and reliably responded even for inner close end fault.
