Abstract

PURPOSE:To turn a fly-wheel at a suitable speed without much cost by making successive redial variation of the proportion in weight of over two kinds of hard fiber different in elasticity. CONSTITUTION:This fly-wheel 1 is built up by circumferentially laminating hard fiber 2, made of plastic resin. The successive proportion of over two kinds of hard fiber different in elasticity is varied in the radius direction of the disc 1. Glass fiber and carbon fiber or the like are used as hard fiber. For proper circumferential and radial stress distribution, those fibers are disposed as follows; hard glass fiber is entirely provided for the center 1a, carbon fiber high in elasticity is entirely for the external range 1b, and those fibers are in the middle range 1c which vary in weight linearly or successively.
