Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress the evolution of toxic gas (hydrogen chloride) at the discharge breadown by making combination use of a film using polyethylene as a binder as a film for electro-stencil master paper forming images through discharge breakdown.
CONSTITUTION: A film layer 2 composed of pigments, fats and oils, plasticizers and polyethylene as a binder and a film layer 1 composed of pigments, plasticizers, stabilizers and vinyl chloride resin as a binder are laminated on a base 4 made of paper provided with a conductive layer 3, whereby the electro-stencil master paper is formed. The thickness of the entire part of the film layers 1, 2 is desirably 25μ or under and of these the thickness of the film layer 1 wherein vinyl chloride base resin is used as a binder is suitably about 5 to 20μ. Forming the stencil paper in the above manner obviates the degradation in the performance of the electro- stencil master paper and makes possible the reduction in the emission of malodor at the discharge breakdown.
