Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct distance measurement errors satisfactorily by calculating Doppler deviations from the frequency linear modulated receiving waves reflected from the target and correcting the distance of the target object. CONSTITUTION:The transmitting frequency linear modulated signal and the receiving frequency linear modulated signal reflected from the target are mixed and low- pass-filtered with the mixer and low-pass filter 8 of an operator I and the signal proportinal to the frequency difference of the transmitting and receiving frequency linear modulated signals corresponding to an apparent distance is applied to a distance scanner 10. On the other hand, the receiving frequency linear modulated signal is applied to a differentiation circuit 13 via the frequency-voltage converter 12 of an operator II and the circuit 13 generates a frequency change rate signal, from which the speed of the target object is calculated by an arithmetic circuit 14. Next, a Doppler deviation is operated and determined in an arithmetic circit 15 and the output signal of the distance corrector 16 which calculates the distance correction signal with the Dopper deviation as a function is applied to the scanner 10.
