Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of dust collection by use of a dust collection apparatus wherein a plurality of cylindrical, porous filters having numbers of holes formed by inclined pieces are arranged concentrically, and cylindrical partition plates being provided between the porous filters.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical partition plate 20 is arranged between adjacent porous filters 8 each. An outer, cylindrical partition plate 20a arranged between an outer porous filter 8a and an intermediate, porous filter 8b partitions an air current from the outer filter 8a to the intermediate filter 8b, and flowing in the intermediate filter 8b through a partition hole 21a. Similarly, air flows in an inner filter 8c through a partition hole 21b in an inner, cylindrical partition plate 20b arranged between the intermediate filter 8b and the inner filter 8c. Air flows in the direction of arrows because of the effect of inclined pieces 18 in the filters 8 each, the partition holes 21 in the partition plates 20 each being opened in a normal direction against the air current. The air current is throttled at the partition holes 21 each, and separation of dust being accelerated.
