Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the strain and stress generation of a cladding tube due to the edge terminals of pellets, by means of causing the pellets of nuclear fuel with bad in rectangular extent to be vibrated and rotated, and of inserting into the cladding tube by allowing to be arranged and be lined.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of fuel pellets 6 with bad rctangular extent is laid on an arranging stand 8 of a vibrated means 7, and energyzed by springs 9 at both sides. When pellets 6 are allowed to be vibrated and be rotated by means of causing a vibrator mounted on the arranging stand 8 to be drived, the pellets 6 are arranged and are lined by means of equalizing the inclined directions of adjacent pellets mutually. The mark of X-y direction is previously noted by means of allowiing to be coincided with the direction of the pellets, and the stacks of uranium dioxide pellets are so inserted by sliding as that they may be coincided with said mark direction. The contact of the edge terminal and the cladding tube is not been generated, and the strain and stress generation of the cladding tube can be prevented
