Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the subject method comprising supplying pulverulent bodies to a shaped passageway whose sectional area becomes smaller from the inlet formed between the movable wheel provided at its peripheral surface with a groove and the concave bent engaged surface of a fixed shoe block toward the outlet theerof, thereby to produce linear or plate-like compressed powders continuously at a high speed.
CONSTITUTION: A movable wheel 1 having at its peripheral end surface an endless groove 2 and the concave bent engaged surface 9 of a fixed shoe block 3 form a thin and long shaped passageway 5 whose sectional area gradually reduces from the inlet toward the outlet. To said passageway 5 there are supplied pulverulent bodies 4 of Zn, Al and the like to rotate the movable wheel 1. The pulverulent bodies 4 are transported to the outlet side of the passageway 5 by the frictional force between the pulverulent bodies and the endless groove 2, generated by the rotation of the movable wheel 1. Since the sectional area of the passageway 5 becomes smaller during this movement, the pulverulent bodies 4 are compressed and shaped to form compressed bodies 6, and get out of the outlet. Thus, linear or plate- like compressed bodies are continulusly obtained
