Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate battery exchange by separating battery chamber from the movement. CONSTITUTION:A battery chamber is provided in the portion of the 12 o'clock or 6 o'clock position of watch display from the side face of a case 1 to the back, in such a manner that it is invisible from the front. The head part of a minus electrode 5 fixed to the case 1 by way of an insulation frame 6 and connected with a lead wire 7 is protruded in the chamber and a spring 8 is provided. Further a fulcrum 3 is provided to a battery cover 2 to make the cover turnable and openable. A dent 2a for opening and closing and a projection 2b to be stopped to the case 1 at the closing are provided. These enable a battery 4 to be mounted to or removed from the battery chamber as desired without impairing its waterproofness and prevent damaging of the movement even at the leakage of the battery 4.
