Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the manufacturing processes of the color picture tube by sticking the light absorbing material only to the exposure part of the photo sensitizer on the inner surface of the face plate to form the black stripe pattern in formation of the fluorescent screen.
CONSTITUTION: Photo sensitizer 2 is coated on the inner surface of face plate 1, and the exposure in given via the shadow mask. In this case, the light is irradiated only to the position where the black stripe is formed by displacing the light source position to form vicid and material acceptable sensitive layer 2a. Then the shadow mask is removed, and graphite powder 3 is sparayed only to sensitive layer 2 to form black stripe pattern 4. The light source is then moved to the distribution place of the electronic gun, and the shadow mask is mounted on plate 1 to form material acceptable sensitive layer 5a through exposure. The shadow mask is then romoved and fluorescent substance 6 is sprayed, and then the air is sprayed to remove the fluorescent substance at the unexposed areas and to form fluorescent pattern 7. All the above procedures are through only the dry processes, thus simplifying the manufacturing processes
