Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a high efficience halogen electric bulb with longer life through a preliminary heat deairing of the bulb in an atmosphere of nitrogen or inert gas such as argon.
CONSTITUTION: In producing a high efficience halogen lamp with a filament coil 2 arranged in a qualtz gas tube 1 or the like, the tube 1 previously undergoes a heat deairing in an atmosphere of nitrogen or inert gas such as argon. Then, the glass tube is loaded with the filament coil and sealed with halogen and rare gas. When a qualtz glass tube is applied, it is desirable to perform the heat deairing treatment for more than 2 hours at a temperature of 1,100 to 1,200°C in an atmosphere of nitrogen or inert gas such as argon. In the case of a high cilicic acid glass tube, the treatment is made desirably for than 2 hours at a temperature of 900 to 1,100°C
