Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate assembly of an insulated double pipe, by forming an insulating layer in a slip ring to fit directly supports to a service pipe.
CONSTITUTION: The outer periphery of a service pipe 1 between supports 3 is covered with insulating material 4 which is a split type cylinder fastened outiside by cleamping bands 5. The support 3 is formed in the follwing way: An inner pipe 8, in which the service pipe 1 is inserted, is concentrially laid in a slip ring 7 with external projections 6 and fixed to reiforcing members 9 fitted inside the slip ring 7. Insulating material is poured in the clearance between the inner pipe 8 and the slip ring 7 an hardened to form an insulating layer 10. Therefore, the direct fitting of the support 3 to the service pipe 1 does not sacrifice the insulating effect and can facilitate the assembly of an insulated double pipe
