Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the thermal conductivety of a heat exchanger, by using a configuration of horizontal fins and vertical refrigerant piping so that the heat exchanger can keep a wet state longer when cooling motor is sprayed.
CONSTITUTION: Fins 1 are laid horizontally, while the refrigerant piping 2 is vertical. Since the radiating fins 1 are horizontal, cooling water sprayed on them is kept longer without dropping immediately, which makes the heat exchanger continue to be wet and increase its thermal cnductivity. Since this configuration can reduce junctures 2a for a vertical type heat exchanger, it can minimize factors that could cause faults and facilitate assembly of the unit
